The Brewcity Bruisers last home season bout is quickly approaching (SATURDAY, MAY 5) and it could be the last time you have the opportunity to see High D. Voltage skate with the Rushin’ Rollettes. She will continue to skate with the All-Stars through the end of that season but after that she won’t be returning — and this time she means it! Until next year… Now, she reflects on skating with the Brewcity...

Alterra Coffee Roasters introduced a special roast created in honor of Milwaukee’s hometown roller derby league, the Brewcity Bruisers. Black and Bruisers Blend will be Alterra's featured coffee in all ten cafes from Monday, April 30 through Sunday, May 6. It will be on brew at every location and available for sale in one-pound bags.

Holy crap! Anyone who thought the bouts in March were heart-stopping probably would have been well served carrying a defibrillator into the Cell on April 14 (Milwaukee Day!) for the pulse-pounding semifinals. The Brewcity Bruisers are saving their best for later in the season this year, as the semis produced the biggest thrills and most drama of 2012. Let's dispense with the foreplay and get right to it.

I hope you didn’t miss those last two bouts on April 14th! They were some nail biters! The winless Rushin’ Rollettes upset the undefeated Maiden Milwaukee with a score of 79-78. The Shevil Knevils almost took down the Crazy Eights in the second bout but the Eights powered back strong in the end to win it 82-79.
