Junior Roller Derby
The Brewcity Bruisers will be offering their first 6 week Junior Roller Derby *series* starting on Sunday January 29th to kids between the ages of 8-17.
During this weekly series, our "Micro" Bruisers will be learning the individual skating skills, partner and pack skills, and basic rollerderby strategy and game play. Skaters new to JR derby should have some basic forward skating skills, but we will have multiple coaches available to train kids at every experience level. Leading the juniors will be 5-year BCB vet Terror Lapinski and 6-year vet Pound Anya, along with special guest trainers every week!
And if THAT isn't enough to get you excited... at the end of the 6 weeks, our JRs will get to show off their skating skills during a mini-expo bout at HALFTIME at the BCB's 3rd game of the season on Saturday, March 10th at the US CELLULAR ARENA!!

Junior Derby session 1 (the basics)
- Jan 29th-March 4th (6 weeks)
- Sunday nights 6:00-8:00pm
- $40*
All practices to be held at "the Bruisery" - the BCBs top-secret training facility, just mintues south of Downtown Milwaukee (directions will be sent after registration)
*The cost of the entire 6 weeks is $40, but on the first day of every session, we will also offer a "Try-It" rate of only $10. You/your child can come see if JR derby is the right fit with out committing to the entire 6 weeks. (Pre-registration will still be required.)
Junior Derby GEAR requirements
- Quad skates (figure or speed, but no roller blades)
- Helmet (multi-sport, hockey, or skateboarding)
- Wrist guards
- Elbow pads
- Knee Pads
- Mouth guard

Please return the registration form to Junior.recruitment@brewcitybruisers.com by Sunday, Jan 22 to secure your spot! Late registrations after Jan 22 will only be considered if spots are still available. The $40 session fee will be due on the first Sunday night of class.
